Stories

Tell more than the highlight reel.

CIE stories will record how a problem changed, why a prototype failed, how a team reconsidered and which evidence justified another step.

Four turns worth recording

Interest becomes a bounded question; a user's response overturns the first solution; technical success meets an operating constraint; a short project changes a long-term choice.

These turns teach more than a generic story about a young person changing the world.

Editorial standard

Distinguish participant testimony, information verified by CIE and editorial interpretation. Material numbers need scope, date and source.

Do not manufacture quotations, omit decisive limitations or present unconfirmed awards, customers, funding or collaborations as fact.

Failure, pause and closure

Teams may keep sensitive detail private, but a story cannot imply continuing operations after a project has closed.

If a failure produces a useful method, a clearer view of risk or a considered career decision, it is still worth documenting with respect.

Consent, privacy and correction

Names, images, schools, health, family and sensitive venture details require appropriate permission, with a higher standard for minors.

Material changes require an update or correction. Withdrawal requests will follow the editorial and retention policy published with the story platform.
