Make it clear, understandable and usable.

The CIE site starts with semantic structure, keyboard operation, clear contrast, responsive type and reduced motion.

01 / Policies

Current support

Pages include a skip link, visible focus, keyboard navigation, semantic headings, alternative text, language metadata and responsive layouts.

The site respects the system reduced-motion preference and does not use colour as the only information cue.

02 / Policies

Colour and text

Body copy uses CIE Ink or CIE Blue. Small white text does not have sufficient contrast on Cyan, Teal or Green, so functional interfaces use dark text there.

03 / Policies

Known limitations

Downloaded PDFs and some visual specimens may be less accessible than HTML; the brand guide is therefore also available as a responsive HTML experience.

Until a licensed webfont package is supplied, visitors without Museo Sans installed receive a matched system sans fallback.
