Code of conduct · operating draft
Let different people do difficult work together.
Respect, safety, honesty, confidentiality and responsible disagreement are the shared minimum for the CIE community.
01 / Policies
Respect and inclusion
Do not diminish people because of age, gender, identity, ability, origin, discipline or experience. Critique an idea specifically without attacking the person behind it.
02 / Policies
Safety and boundaries
Follow venue, equipment, data and safeguarding rules. Harassment, threats, discrimination, retaliation and unwanted physical or private contact are not accepted.
03 / Policies
Honesty, confidentiality and conflicts
Represent evidence, contribution and limitations accurately. Do not fabricate results or exaggerate relationships. Protect team information and declare review, investment or commercial conflicts.
04 / Policies
Reporting and response
Concerns may be raised with a programme lead or the CIE contact email. Responses should protect safety, establish facts, remain proportionate and follow fair process; serious incidents may end participation and be referred appropriately.
