Frequently asked questions

Start with the current status and the boundaries.

These answers reflect CIE's present development stage. Where a future named programme differs, its dated programme page will take precedence.

01Are applications open?

No. Every learning programme on the site is labelled Programme in development; no application window, cohort size or deadline is confirmed.

A programme is open only when cie.com provides complete rules and a formal application route.

02Who is CIE for?

CIE is being built broadly for secondary-school students, university students, recent graduates, young founders and selected research teams. Each programme will set its own age and stage criteria.

A registered company, competition prize or patent will not be a universal prerequisite.

03What about fees, assistance and outcomes?

Fees, assistance, refunds, equipment and travel costs remain unconfirmed and will be disclosed before an applicant commits.

CIE does not promise prizes, admission, internships, customers, revenue, funding or investment returns.

04How will minors be protected?

A formal programme requires age-appropriate design, informed guardian consent, traceable communication, adult oversight, image and data rules, and risk assessment.

The detailed safeguarding policy will be published before applications from minors are accepted; the activity should not begin without it.

05How do programmes relate to IP and investment?

CIE does not assume ownership of participant work. Background IP, joint creation, confidentiality and licences must be documented before collaboration.

Learning, mentor feedback and a showcase are not investment advice or a funding commitment. Transactions require independent verification and decision-making.

06Are mentors, partners and facilities confirmed?

No confirmed roster or permanent facility is published on this site. An organisation without a named page and explicit scope should not be treated as a CIE partner.

When mentors, venues, equipment, events or relationships are confirmed, their status, scope and conditions will be updated.
